Luna's Revenge: Dear Alpha, You Deserve to Die!

“Mommy, where is Daddy?”“I miss him.” It was my daughter’s last words, but she didn’t know the murderer was her own father

My little girl, Marianne Black had left this world.

But her final words would always haunt me.

“Mommy, where is Daddy?” she asked as she held me tightly.

The little girl said to me, “I miss Daddy.”

The only thing I could say to her was nothing but a lie. It really broke my heart beyond belief. My daughter looked at me, expecting an answer. So, I had no choice but to spout more and more lies.

“Daddy is coming here to meet you, sweetheart. So, be a good girl, okay?” I said, trying to console my dying daughter.

Again, I lied to my daughter. I would regret that very moment. After all, her father never came. In fact, Marianne never saw her father until her last breath as the Moon Priestess gave my daughter her last rite.

On the other hand, my husband, the Alpha of the Black Ebony Pack, decided to stay with his first love, Olivia Smith, for a week in their mansion. While I was heartbroken, I knew that I couldn’t give up for my daughter’s sake. It was the last thing I could do.

Yet, this was the final straw for me. Last week was the catalyst for everything that happened. Jeremy got upset because his first love, Olivia, had accused my own daughter of stealing her diamond ring. As usual, Jeremy believed her lies. He punished our daughter for staying outside despite the terrible rainstorm that hit our pack for the past few weeks. Despite my many pleas, the Alpha would not listen to me.

When Marianne started to cough more often, Jeremy told our pack doctor to take care of her while he was going to comfort his first love. Unfortunately, it was way too late. Marianne was beyond saving.

I didn’t remember how many times I tried to tell Jeremy through our mind-link until he responded. His first words were like a dagger, stabbing deeply through my heart.

"Can you make it quick? I’m busy with Olivia here."

That was the first thing he said to me through the mind-link. It really made me angry, but there was nothing that angered me more after that as I heard another voice that I knew very well. The Olivia’ voice was heard from the mind-link.

Olivia said from my husband's mind-link, Oh, please don’t blame her, Alpha! I’m so sorry, Adrianne. We’re just having a very good time together."

For years, I listened to it, immune to it, when I tried to talk to my husband through a mind link. Instead, it broke my heart that the father of my late daughter didn't seem to care about his own daughter.

This was his daughter who died. His daughter still thought of her own father who was this man. I couldn’t help but grit my teeth. My whole body was hot with anger. Frankly, I never felt like this. It seemed that I was done with these two’s actions.

Their actions had taken Marianne’s life. This was truly unforgivable!

"Let’s sever our mating bond," I coldly told the man from the mind-link.

Jeremy angrily shouted from the mind-link, "How dare you ask such a thing of me!"

"So be it then! But that little girl will be with me! You will regret it, Adrianne! I’ll make sure of that," he continued with a icy tone through the mind-link he used when he was really mad.

I calmly responded to him in the mind-link, "Good. I don’t care about it anymore. This marriage is nothing but a sham."

"How dare you say that to me? You’ll be dead, Adrianne! I’ll make sure you and Marianne will be punished severely!" he angrily shouted back at me through the mind-link.

Just like that, Jeremy ended our mind-link. That was expected when the Alpha was with his first love. It happened so many times. Still, this time was different. It was his own daughter who died!

The moment Marianne stopped breathing was the moment I also died. Yet, there was one thing that I felt. It was rage.

“Marianne!” I shouted from the top of my lungs in agony.

The whole pack became quiet. It was as if they all were in mourning with me. Even the Moon Goddess pitied me as the bright, clear sky quickly turned into black. A lightning storm had come upon the Black Ebony pack as if it described the feeling I had.

While Jeremy was still frolicking with his first love, I arranged the funeral for my daughter. The Black Ebony pack members who sympathized with me attended the funeral. Most of them were smallfolk. They were maids, cooks, and servants in the castle. They were all grieving the death of Marianne.

Just like me, they were crying silently.

My Marianne was gone like that. There was no way I could forgive this! I had to avenge my daughter! I had to!

“We’ll meet again, dear Marianne. I promise you. I’ll avenge your death!”

Jeremy, Olivia, I’ll make sure that you two will pay the price for Marianne’s death!

I finally found a good place to read novels!
